1000 Ripples Effect Project Blogs

I gratefully bring you the 6 blogs from a project I have the privilege of being apart of.  The 1000 Ripples Effect is a movement to support young people aged 15 - 21 years through inspiring stories, raising awareness and also money to help with the varying needs.  I am also an author writing a chapter in the book which will be published in 2018, I am able to share my work and help kids all at once.


Time Travel  - Humans have made it possible!

Time travel is something that you do every single day to ourselves and others.

How do you do this?

Really it is very simple because you do it in your minds, throughout most of your day. Back, forward, back, forward….when are you really just here?

Time travel to the future is when you imagine every scenario that you can think of.  The good, the bad and the really bad or something that is so good but you simply call it a crazy dream.  Future time travel can get you into a real state of anxiety. For example when you think of a test you’re are going to take, or the bills you need to pay, the dress you want to buy, the call you are waiting for….ok so you are now forming thoughts of future time travel yourself or merely remembering when you did it last.  While you are doing this you start to grab some friends, family, co-workers, neighbours, person who cut us off, postman, shop attendant, kids…anyone from your life that you want to be part of it and travel forward bringing (dragging) them with you.  Now that you’ve got some people joining you, the time travel becomes more real and this is creating more anxiety as it becomes more and more real.  A future that you don’t want. Or the other way,  you have travelled to a future you really want but the people you brought with on this adventure are telling you it is way beyond what you can do, creating obstacles and challenges that might happen.  Ok deep breathe….stay right here, you are ok!

Let’s take a look at when you time travel to the past. This is when you dissect events that have been, conversations, and your human falls. You look at all the other ways it could have been better, said something differently, done something differently, diving into a gift you call ‘hindsight’ aka ‘time travel’.  Then you choose to store the emotion in our bodies creating a line to it whenever you need reminding of all the times that you didn’t do the best you could, or others didn’t treat us how we liked.  Again you are now stepping back in time STOP right there, stay here.  Time travel to the past can create a sadness being so hard on yourself and others, you do the same thing by bringing your community of people with us.  Blaming and shaming ourselves and others.  Wishing for things to have been different and the memory becomes an anchor point to which you decide how you feel every time a similar event takes place.

Both of these can paralyse you from moving forward because your mind is the wonderful place where anything is possible.  The mind has no limits to where and how far it can take a thought; forward or back.

Time travel forward in your mind and see the future you want. Take with you the voices that whisper ‘you can do this’, ‘give it a try’. Notice how your body feels when you have created this space of your future out in the light, where possibility lives. Are you warm, goose bumps, relaxed, soft and happy?  Then you know that you are on the right path, and if your body feels anxious then ask yourself ‘am I doing what helps me feels good’?. Because then you are fully present whilst taking a stroll forward into the future, still aware of where you are right now and the possibilities that you have in front of you.  This is a brilliant way to use the future time travel, creating excitement of possibilities and inspiring action for right now!

Now let’s go back, this time with the same intention, this is just a quick trip, short visit, because you still have your awareness to where you are right now – Present.  Look at your past as the great lessons, making no decisions or judgements on what happened, merely hovering over to take the learning forward. This is a place where you can think of your 1st’s in life. The hugs, kisses and all the challenges, because you still are here thriving after them.  The past can be a wonderful place to take a snap shot.  You are able to see where you have been and then bring this to the present to help you feel good about how far you have travelled and grown in life. The past holds so many of your blessings, as long as we keep judgement out of it, because you can’t change the past but simply smile and know that you are better from it.

Time travel is only present in our minds and the beautiful thing about it is that this is the one place in our lives where you can fully decide how you feel about what is happening in your life right now – Present. You can decide how you view what has happened - Past and how we feel about what will happen – Future.  Time travel is a gift and can be used to positively light your life.

Present is where all the magic happens and if you stay here more magic, fun and love will join you, to be part of your right now. Use the time travel for your highest good, and the easy way to remember it is this…

The past is a blessing,

The future holds your faith, 

The present is Appreciation of right now!

Worthiness is your choice

Worthiness is present in your life when you decide you are worthy of it. There is nothing that needs to change, no circumstance or external condition that needs to alter. It is simply a change in you, to allow worthiness.

You are worthy

You are worth the effort

You are worth loving

This is your internal power to allow.

Worthiness or lack of it is what holds you back from loving the life you truly feel good in. Are you worthy of your life? Whatever your belief is, you are right, it is your choice. How do you want to feel, complete love for your life, who you are and that you are most definitely enough. Once you chosen to feel worthy in your life, welcome your fear and allow it to lead you with love towards a choice that you will feel good in – life is work and life is simple. Start working on you today, work on your worthiness and the rest will follow

Who you are being tells a story, we are not our age, name, hair colour, skin colour, height, cars we drive, the things we own or the jobs that we do. We are the sum of our daily intention and actions in our life, the effect we choose to have and the energy we bring with us. We are our internal being, the conditions we choose to allow and express from within. We are the story we tell, not in any words that can be written, but the energy we choose to live it with, it is something you truly have to feel.  Through this perspective you can begin to shift and sees things just a little bit new, remember we all start as babies totally dependent for others to provide everything, everything, even help to sleep. Who are we then, needy, yes!

However as humans we want to be needed as it provides purpose.  Our larger purpose can easily be found in simply discovering something new and doing something where you feel good. What a joy to live a life like this, I’m in. Making sure your needs are always looked after is your inbuilt instinct that says, eat, drink, love...etc.  It seems that there is no stage in our lives that we are not dependent on each other to thrive in this life. Think about this, could you produce the life that you live by yourself? With no help, just you creating, building and connecting. The answer is no you could not, we all need each other, so the next questions is who do you want to be in it?

Without you doing your part the world around you would not work.  Be worthy of your life, work to feel good in all you do knowing that your role is just as important as everyone else’s. 

What are you attracting?

People are not sent into your life to teach you lessons, YOU called/attracted them with your energy, with your thoughts. How many times have your thought of someone and they called you? You can think of many times, right? That’s energy, positive or negative it’s your energy attracting what you are asking for.

What are you asking for?  This does not mean your words will attract your reality, it is who you are being that attracts what you want and need in your life.


Who are you being? Positive or Negative? Life is simple…..


Hate                      or            Love

Naughty             or            Nice

Sour                     or            Sweet

Hurtful                  or            Helpful

Cruel                     or            Kind


Can you see a pattern?


Abraham/Esther Hicks says that our source energy is pure joy, love, delight; how amazing does that sound to you, what would that look like in your world to feel that way everyday? Why wouldn’t we work towards feeling closer to that every step of your human journey? 

We were given a gift to appreciate or to fear. Both choices, emotions, way of being are found in the same place in our minds, so therefore both cannot be present at the same time.  Do you appreciate, show gratitude even when a moment appears to challenge or negative or unknown?  We can choose to be afraid, stay where we are or we can choose to be in gratitude, appreciation, wisdom knowing that these two states of being are in the same place. How fantastic! If you are in appreciation you can’t be in fear. Humans, all of us have been created with this gift.

Have a simple faith in your ability to do good and feel good. Know that at your core, it all begins with love. In no way is this to say that this doesn’t take work, every day you must wake with a focus to connect to appreciating every moment and see how long you can stay there. Your aim is to simply improve in steps in raising your appreciation each day. Every morning you awake to a new day, and new way of being and seeing the world you have created around you.

Life is there to be enjoyed. Slow down, breathe deeply and start a state of appreciation every morning when you wake. This will aid your new day, to begin again and see what you can learn, to improve on from the day before. Simply by appreciating where you are at, being present in your current moment, making your choices from the heart, and that everything, EVERYTHING is energy, you, me and every living thing. 

What are you putting out there? What are you attracting into your adult life?

Be unwilling to put up with the challenging times, stay in appreciation even in those times of your life.

Respect is love…..

We talk about earning respect, having others earn ours and having to earn others. I am not sure I understand this, isn’t respect simply a given because it is clearly a base value that we all want. If respect is one of our base values and respect comes from love, then what happens when there is an absence of love? It makes room for judgement, expectation and exclusion, therefore there must be something more under respect. The questions are endless, but it seems to always point to one thing and comeback to the same place, LOVE. In all its forms when it is fully present and the highest intent in our life, there seems to be only goodness that surrounds it.  Simple right? 

When did it get so complicated? Have we placed ourselves above all others, forgetting that we are all the same, and in making ourselves more important rather than equal, our perception gets blurred.  There becomes conditions on what it looks like for someone else to respect us, making it a challenge for anyone to reach the standard that we have set and so the cycle of seeking and giving respect continues.

Do we need to go a little further and find out how deep the respect for ourselves is? What does respect of oneself look like? Taking care of our physical body in the best and most healthy way possible, feeding it goodness and showing our body, mind and spirit love.  Honouring the words that we speak with an intention for love, being honest through our actions and authentic in how we choose to carry ourselves. Feeding our minds with information to carry us forward, to help us thrive and then sharing that knowledge with others to help them. There are so many ways that this is spoken throughout history.

-          Treat others as you wish to be treated

-          Live and let live

-          All men and women are created equal

-          Allow others the space to do the same.

When we put our awareness on what respecting our self feels like, then we can see that we are looking for a feeling, not just an action. Respect is a feeling and when you have decided to begin with yourself you stop demanding it from others and become aware of how you feel. Does my action feel good? Does the action that I am experiencing feel good?  Then find your compass to feeling good and move in that direction, because respect will follow love everywhere.

When we stop placing an importance of expectation and focus on our body, mind and spirit to feel where they are at in the present moment, then the results you want at a basic level will occur. Are the actions and thoughts I am currently thinking and doing leading me to where I feel good? Yes – keep in this direction. Are the results no, then shift your focus.

No one can define what respect is to you but you, however what it does provide is harmony and calmness in your life. Are you heading in a direction that feels good and allows respect in all areas, even when no one is watching?

Self-talk = Self-love, are you being loving to yourself?

Our self-talk makes a huge impact in our life. What you say to yourself and tell yourself about your world is the most important message you receive every day.  There is so much out there telling how we need to be, look, feel and in truth no of these messages are true. Only the ones we choose to believe are true and even then if we are not feeling them feeling them in our hearts, our spirit guide, then it’s our mind once again playing tricks on you.

The mind is really like an amazing computer, doing what it is commanded to do; it is our body that shows the effects, but it is our hearts that choose how we feel and therefore helping guide us to our true desire, passion and love.

The heart, our intuition is probably the one thing that we don’t have in our control, we can only be guided by it. We can only listen, be aware and then allow being led to the desire the heart offers us.

The heart is the spirits guide…always.

Therefore the mind reacts to the external world and out internal condition. Which means we can choose what we think, choose how we feel regardless how what is happening around us. Our body reacts best when we are connected to our heart, our guide and starting from a place of love.

What are you saying to yourself everyday about how you are choosing to live your life, is it in a way that you feel good about?  What you say to yourself, about yourself, is your view to the world.

Let’s break that down because the answer we are always presented with is ‘think positive’, we can also translate to say ‘look for good’ which means that you can still be present, and see things as they are and feel good all at once. Think of the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning, is it ‘nooo not the alarm again’, or ‘I don’t want to…….’ and what about ‘oh the pain in my (insert aliment). All of those things are real challenges and circumstance that we face on a daily basis, however how does that affect you?  What about this as you first thought of the day by just simply tweaked the language to ‘hello alarm, time to get up’, ‘today I will…’ and ‘as I rise slowly I am grateful for my body’. This way is looking for the best thought that will lead you to feeling good. 

What about when you make a mistake, a human stumble in life? How do you speak to yourself then? Often it sounds like, ‘I hate it when I……..’ or ‘you’re so stupid’, ‘it always happens to me when……’ does this sound like you? Internal talk goes on in everyone, every step and every day and with this kind of self-talk going on internally, what does the external view look like and feel lik? Can you possibly see all the good around you when you are so hard on yourself internally?  How do you shift this and create internal dialogue that you feel good about, we need to flip the language and our reaction and come from our guide, the heart. Being kind to yourself first, then you can be kind to others, watch as your world changes around you as you start to speak nicely to yourself. So you have made a mistake, first for the lesson rather than someone to blame, the language might look like ‘yes I have made a mistake, must be more mindful next time’, ‘how clever of you to offer yourself another opportunity to grow’ and ‘what am I attracting for this to have happened again?’. Only a small change and we are still being real, however we are also being kind and offering ourselves a way to learn, to grow and enjoy the moment fully.

When you get bogged down in looking for what’s not right, you’ll keep finding it; but when you look for all your good and what is right, then you guessed it you will keep finding it.

So your view is up to you, which would you prefer?  Yes there are a lot of questions that are being asked in here, because these can only be answered by you. Become aware of your thoughts, particularly in the most challenging moments and when you shift them you will begin to connect fully to your internal guidance system…your heart and self-love begins to form within everything you say and do.
